CENTRE MÉGA

Sébastien Mercier and his partners acquired the Centre Méga in 2018.  The group invested a lot of money to update the machinery to optimise the rental of the lanes.  This was short-lived as major electrical issues severely damaged all their equipment in the fall of 2020.  It did not take much for the investor group to decide to dive headfirst into a complete modernisation project.

Their first decision was to remove all the free-fall pinspotters and install the new EDGE String pinspotters.  This way, many problems would be solved: hard-to-find and expensive labour, costly parts, high electricity bills and loss of revenue for the lanes not being rented.

As a result, the two front desk computers had to be changed as well and they got the latest version of QubicaAMF’s operating and managing system: Conqueror X.  They adapted rapidly, because they would use Conqueror Pro.

The addition of CenterPunch Deck Lights and Capping Lights was a natural in this project.  The light effects are endless.  With a little bit of imagination, the lights can be customised to mark recurring holidays throughout the year such as Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.  This shows how versatile and powerful CenterPunch is, as well as being very easy to configure.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the automatic DuraBowl bumpers were added to the lanes.  These bumpers are activated only to the bowlers who enabled them.  Therefore, everyone in the family can enjoy a good time on the lanes.

The original Fly consoles had to be removed.  They were replaced by the SuperTouch consoles.  These tablet-like screens are perfect for navigating through the multitude of environments, animations, Classic and Skills games and Mad Games that BES X Ultimate has to offer.

In this regard, the Centre Méga is the first centre to exploit the new Experiences from Conqueror.  During their learning session, five distinctive Experiences were created, and this is now how open play bowling is sold to the public.  Each Experience has its own characteristics that meet the needs of every group: kids, families, teenagers, adults, corporate groups, league bowlers, etc.

Finally, Lexer Bowling Software was a must for this centre.  They were introduced to Lexer in 2019 at the Rudy Foresterie Classic.  The squads started on time, no time was wasted between games, the results were posted on the Internet in a blink of an eye after each game and the standings were well detailed.  Because of that, Sébastien had no other choice than keeping this software and using it with his own leagues and tournaments.
